BUDDHA Hardcover Vol. 6, RIP

We get a steady stream of e-mails here at Vertical asking where one can find a copy of Buddha Vol. 6 in hardcover.

I’m afraid the answer is you can’t. The book is out of print.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any reprints planned right now. We can sympathize with the distress of those who own the entire series in hardcover EXCEPT for Volume 6, but unfortunately demand for the book isn’t great enough to justify the (very high) cost of going back to press for a hardcover book.

Fortunately, the entire Buddha series is available in trade paperback, and hopefully should be for a good long time. But if I were you I would try to collect the entire series as soon as you can–just look at what happened to the people who hesitated with the hardcovers.

The hardcovers had those nice drawings on the spines, but I don’t think they’re important to your enjoyment of the series. I did like their more compact size, though.

Vol. 5 HC to go out of stock very soon, too.

One thing to underscore here: all volumes of the paperback will remain in circulation at all times.

By the way, we just received office copies of MW, and do they look great. I’d gladly hand reviewer types who live in New York a copy if they visited our office.

If the offer for review copies of MW stands, I’d be more than happy to stop by the Vertical office and pick up a copy for PopCultureShock.
