Buddha Nominated for two Eisners

Buddha by Osamu Tezuka continues to garner wonderful reviews left and right, most recently in The Comics Journal, where Buddha Vols. 1 & 2 were on the list for Best of 2003. Gary Groth, co-founder and editor-in chief of The Comics Journal had this to say:

“The English language publication of Osamu Tezuka’s Buddha is a landmark publishing event in comics.”

ForeWord magazine has also proclaimed Buddha‘s excellence and has nominated it for best graphic novel.
